GOOGLE NEWS
There are conflicting reports that workers were "testing something" then later, the copy changed to say "The incident occurred during a routine startup of a gas combustion turbine. No one was injured. Cedar Falls Utilities is investigating the cause."
This morning, the two workers --- Steve Balthazor and Kevin DeSerano --- were undertaking a required annual "urge test" on the No. 2 gas combustion turbine when the explosion occurred. They were at a control panel when the blast occurred in another part of the building, she said. She said they were wearing hearing protection because of normal noise in the facility.
Nothing suspicious there at all. "the 2 guys in there will be okay(?) I know it says they declined medical attention..." Who declines medical attention? Shouldn't they have got checked out for compensation purposes? KWWL
